It is always good to take a break and revel in God’s magnificent creation

I am a Child of God
This morning, I woke up to a chorus of birds singing in my backyard. I was reminded how much God loves it when His creation worships Him. More than that, I thought of how much He cares for all of those birds and how much more He cares for me. Because of His great love I am chosen, redeemed and set apart for His work.
Lessons From the Moms in My Life
None of us can, on our own, live up to the standard set in Proverbs 31, but with God’s help, we can be who He created us to be and use the gifts He has given us.
If We are Children of the King, Who is our King? (Part I)
If we are Children of the King, why do we so often live like paupers? Why do we look to the world for our satisfaction and comfort?
The Ultimate Act of Worship
It takes practice to perfect the song. We are His choir, His orchestra. He wants us to be practicing the “song”, the “mele” with every Aloha – every breath.
Worship is More Than a Song
What do we do when our sports teams score? We hold up our hands in celebration. Isn’t salvation and the defeat of The Enemy worth celebrating?
What prevents you from worshipping?
Could it be our Expectation: what if we woke up every morning and thought “Wow, I can’t wait to see what amazing things God is going to do today?” Or Show me Lord how I can worship and serve you today?”
She Had Hope
I received a gift in observing a saint go through the slow process of losing herself and gaining Jesus.
Listening for the Still Small Voice
Like Elijah, I felt like one disaster after another was coming, and I could not get my feet on solid ground. It was hard to hear God’s voice through all the pandemonium, but I was listening.
Teapots And Power Tools
All of our experiences can have spiritual lessons. These devotionals are stories from my life with biblical application to encourage your walk with God.
I am a Martha
I probably will never be very good at sitting still. But I am learning. Learning to hear God’s voice in the noise of this world, in the silence of my yard, in the song of the birds, and by the posture of my heart.
Thankful & Thirsty Thursdays
God gave us His creation as a gift so that we can know Him better. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20 I want to have a thankful heart every moment of every day, and little glimpses of God, through His creation, are reminders to be grateful throughout.
Worship, Washington & Work Wednesday
Do you begin to feel worn down along about the middle of the week? I know I do. I get busy “doing” and forget to “be.” It is easy to get busy in our lives and routines and even in our prayers and forget to intentionally take time to worship. Any time is a good time to be still before the Lord and take time to appreciate His gifts and acknowledge who He is. The one thing that can take our mind off of our own problems and burdens is to fix our eyes on our Maker.
Tears in a Bottle
Tears in a Bottle I cry. A lot. I always have. Not because I am a whiny baby. I cry when I am happy. I cry when I am sad. I cry when I am mad. I cry when I am moved. I cry when I sing. I cry when I speak. I cry whenContinue reading “Tears in a Bottle”
